Michael Jackson. James Brown. Sly and the Family Stone. These names are often evoked when trying to describe the Con Brio sound. PopMatters simply calls them “the best new live band in America.” Funky, soulful, bluesy, hard-charging and always energetic, this is a band that transforms life’s joys and struggles into tightly crafted tunes that will inspire you to dance. “We don’t want to walk. We don’t want to drive,” says Con Brio frontman Ziek McCarter. “We want to fly.” Get ready for the lift off, Saturday evening at Market.

Enjoy one of today’s best singers and songwriters in American music, as Lee Ann Womack brings her breathtaking blend of country, soul, gospel, and blues to High Point Market. Praised by the likes of The New York Times, the Wall Street Journal, and more, she has sung for multiple presidents and performed award-winning duets with Willie Nelson, John Prine and John Legend. With six albums and multiple international chart-topping singles to her credit, Womack has earned six Country Music Association Awards, including Single of the Year and Album of the Year, five Academy of Country Music Awards, and a Grammy, among others. Her latest album, “The Lonely, The Lonesome & The Gone”, has “some of the most immediate and deeply felt vocal performances” of her career, according to NPR Music, and taps into “the emotional core of country.”
